Modifying your device will definitely not void the Better Sleep Guarantee. Some people like to make small modifications to their ZQuiet in places where it might irritate their gums or teeth. Feel free to follow the recommendations in the instruction manual for a more custom fit.
The ZQuiet Mouthpiece is not meant to treat sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a medical condition, which requires supervised treatment from a qualified medical specialist. If you have sleep apnea, please consult your physician to determine whether or not ZQuiet would be an appropriate solution to treat your snoring.
ZQuiet uses the front teeth (upper and lower) to advance the lower jaw. If the denture (upper or lower) includes just one of these teeth, it is normally fine to use ZQuiet . If it is a partial denture and 2 or more of the 6 front teeth in a jaw are missing, the ZQuiet should not be used. Do not use ZQuiet if you have full dentures.
The average person requires an adjustment period of a few hours to a few weeks to reach maximum comfort. During this period you may feel some discomfort, but this should disappear shortly after removing the ZQuiet mouthpiece. Moving the jaw forward is what quiets the snoring; and this movement requires some initial conditioning of your jaw muscles. Consider adding ZQuiet Chin-UP to help relieve jaw soreness. Note: ZQuiet is contraindicated for anyone with jaw issues or TMJ.
This sensation is common should go away slowly during the first hour or so after removing the device. Our dental advisors suggest that the soreness or sensation of looseness may result from several hours or a period of time in which you unknowingly clench or grind your teeth. With the use of a ZQuiet , this clenching and grinding can be transferred to the ligaments around the teeth because the device has the mouth in a different position. This micro movement of ligaments around teeth results in soreness. The soreness and sensation of tooth movement can be a bit worrisome, but unless it persists for more than several hours, there is likely no cause for concern. If the sensation lasts for more than 6 hours, you should discontinue use and consult your dentist.
Yes! Unlike some stop-snoring devices, the ZQuiet lets you breathe completely naturally, through your mouth and nose. We recommend you do not buy any device that restricts breathing through your mouth or nose.
Yes, thanks to our patent-pending Living Hinge technology! Opening and closing your mouth while sleeping is a natural process and the ZQuiet Living Hinge provides comfortable jaw mobility. Many customers appreciate the fact that they can even talk or take a drink without having to remove the mouthpiece.
A sensation of a shift in your bite or jaw positioning is common with oral appliance therapy. This sensation should go away slowly during the first hour or so after removing the device. It may seem strange now, but the reward will be quiet, restful sleep.
Central sleep apnea is a neurological condition. Both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea are medical conditions that can only be diagnosed by a licensed medical practitioner after proper testing.
We are unable to provide medical advice, but FDA requires us to state that ZQuiet cannot be used if you have been diagnosed with severe respiratory disease like asthma or emphysema.
The ZQuiet Mouthpiece is contraindicated for certain health and dental conditions where it is not a safe or appropriate solution for you to use. We recommend that you purchase one of our other non-mouthpiece snoring solutions.
Some people have no side effects at all when trying a ZQuiet Mouthpiece for the first time. Others can have challenges with feeling pressure on the front teeth, an urge to cough, excessive saliva or unconsciously removing the device while sleeping. These experiences lessen with time and use. We recommend wearing your ZQuiet for short periods of time while you are awake to help get accustomed to the device. Remember, after a short adjustment period, everyone can enjoy quiet, restful sleep!
Trina: Hi we’re Dan and Trina Webster founders of ZQuiet. If you're new to the idea of using a mouthpiece to stop snoring, you may be wondering what to expect.Your ZQuiet Starter Kit comes with two sizes and only one of them is going to be right for you. You always start with the Comfort 1 device, which provides just a little bit of lower jaw advancement and it'll help you adjust to the sensation of repositioning your jaw.
Dan: The Comfort 1 may be all that’s needed to treat your snoring. If, after a few nights, you still detect snoring, you should then proceed to the Comfort 2 device, which will further advance the jaw and widen the airway to quiet the snoring.
Trina: Because the ZQuiet moves your lower jaw slightly forward, some people experience a brief adjustment period. Just like starting a new exercise program, your body needs to adapt to the repositioning of the jaw and sleeping with a mouthpiece. This adjustment period is completely normal and it happens with any mouthpiece — even expensive custom ones from your dentist. Dan: Some people don't have any issues using a mouthpiece like ZQuiet, but because it’s moving your lower jaw forward it may cause some tooth or jaw discomfort and if you're not used to sleeping with something in your mouth, you may experience a little drooling or a gag sensation. Rest assured that all these symptoms are common during the adjustment period and subside as you get used to it. Trina: If you have additional questions, be sure to check out the resources on our website or call or email one of our sleep counselors who are always happy to answer your questions or support you as you adjust to using ZQuiet.
There is no setup involved. You can simply take it out of the case and use it. Start with the Comfort 1 device. If your snoring persists than use the Comfort 2 device which will widen the airway slightly more.
The Original ZQuiet Mouthpiece was specially designed to fit nearly everyone. No boiling or molding is required—just use it exactly as provided. If needed, you can trim your ZQuiet with small scissors to improve fit and comfort. After trimming, use a fingernail file or emery board to smooth any rough edges and avoid irritation to the gums.
You should expect to see results the very first night you use it. Optimal results occur after determining which jaw advancement (Comfort 1 or Comfort 2) works best for you.
It depends on the individual, but many customers find that their ZQuiet Mouthpiece lasts for many months of nightly use. Just like a toothbrush, we recommend replacing ZQuiet at least every 6 months. Users that clench or grind at night may find they needs replacements closer to 3 months or may want to try the ZQuiet Firm Mouthpiece that is made with a stronger hinge. We offer repeat customers a variety of subscription options with deep discounts to make sure that you always have replacement ZQuiet products when you need them and at the nest price.
Dan: I’m Dan Webster, co-founder of ZQuiet. I want to talk about how ZQuiet is different from other anti-snoring mouthpieces. When I worked with our team of professionals to develop ZQuiet, my primary objectives were: Comfort, Ease-of-use and Effectiveness. While the principle of advancing the lower jaw is the same with all mouthpieces, the ZQuiet design contains unique features that set it apart.
The biggest differentiator is the patented living hinge. This hinge design allows freedom of jaw movement. Most other mouthpieces force the jaw into a clenched bite without any ability to open the mouth or the jaw naturally, something I find to be uncomfortable and disturbing to my sleep. Another benefit to this design is that you can talk without removing the device and even take a sip of water, something many people do before going to sleep.
The other big differentiator is the fact that ZQuiet is ready to use right out of the package without any complex molding, boiling or impressions. In fact, it’s the easiest mouthpiece to use for that very reason. One thing that most people don't realize is that moldable devices require a hard plastic outer shell to maintain their shape and the jaw advancement. This creates excess bulk that some people, especially with smaller mouths, find difficult to tolerate. ZQuiet’s slim and low-profile design won't make you feel like you've just overstuffed your mouth.
As someone that has tried many different anti-snoring mouthpieces, I understand that comfort and fit varies from person-to-person. We don't claim to be the best mouthpiece for everyone, but many people prefer the comfort, simplicity and hinge design of ZQuiet and we hope that you’ll be one of them.
The Comfort Mouthpieces are made with a softer more flexible material and the ZQuiet Firm Mouthpieces are designed with a stiffer grade material and an extra-strong hinge. We recommend the Firm mouthpiece for people who clench or grind their teeth or who find their ZQuiet lasts under 2-3 months.
Clean it after every use with our carefully formulated, proprietary cleaning solution “ZQuiet Clean.” Cleaning and sanitizing your ZQuiet is as easy as “pump scrub and rinse” and takes only 60 seconds! It is available at checkout when you purchase your ZQuiet. Important: Do not use mouthwash with alcohol, harsh chemicals, or household cleaning products like bleach or ammonia to clean any ZQuiet product as it may damage the material.
The golden rule is that you store your clean ZQuiet Mouthpiece in the supplied case. This ensures that it will retain its shape and also will prevent accidental damage.
Most customers find that ZQuiet lasts for 2 months to a year depending on a variety of factors. We recommend replacing your ZQuiet every 4-6 months just like you would a toothbrush. For repeat customers, we offer a variety of options to make sure you always have a fresh ZQuiet available. If you find that your ZQuiet needs to be replaced more often than 4-6 months you might want to consider a ZQuiet Firm Device which has a stronger hinge for people that clench or grind at night which wears down the device faster.
Mouthpieces that move the lower jaw forward to treat snoring have been widely used for decades and clinical tests have shown a success rate of over 90% in reducing snoring. Some people find there is an adjustment period when first wearing an oral appliance, and this is true with custom dentist-fitted devices and over-the-counter products like ZQuiet.
ZQuiet Mouthpieces use the same technology that many anti-snoring devices employ, but is much easier to use: It moves the lower jaw forward which opens the airway and reduces the vibration that causes snoring. Unlike some anti-snoring devices, ZQuiet lets you breathe completely naturally, through your mouth and nose. Opening and closing your mouth while sleeping is a natural process and ZQuiet’s hinged design provides jaw mobility no matter what sleep position you are in. Many customers appreciate the fact that they can even talk or take a drink without having to remove the mouthpiece.

The ZQuiet Mouthpiece is a FDA regulated medical device which requires extensive & rigorous procedures that add to our cost. Beware of cheap imitation devices that may claim to be FDA approved but in reality have not been proven safe to use.
You should expect to see results the very first night you use it. Optimal results occur after determining which jaw advancement (Comfort 1 or Comfort 2) works best for you.
The ZQuiet device is made of a soft thermoplastic compound that has undergone stringent consumer testing including toxicology, sensitivity and biocompatibility assessments. It does not contain silicone, latex, or Bisphenol A (BPA). The material is made in the USA, and is specially formulated for medical applications that require FDA compliance.
Because of the universal sizing and soft material, no boiling or molding is required.
ZQuiet was designed with efficiency and comfort in mind. No impressions or molding are required because the low profile, open channel design and soft material allow the device to conform to any mouth and the patented living hinge holds it securely in place.
We proudly manufacture ZQuiet and all of the components in the U.S.A.
It depends on the individual, but many customers find that their ZQuiet Mouthpiece lasts for many months of nightly use. Just like a toothbrush, we recommend replacing ZQuiet at least every 6 months.
The ZQuiet Mouthpiece is FDA cleared to treat snoring. All oral anti-snoring devices are considered Class II medical devices regulated by the FDA and must meet their requirements. Technically, if a device like ZQuiet is similar to a device that has already been cleared for the same use, the FDA does not “approve” a new device in the same category; they “clear” them for sale under the 510(k) Clearance process. In order to receive FDA Clearance, a product must be proven effective and must also undergo very strict consumer safety testing. There are many anti-snoring devices sold online that are not cleared by the FDA, and there is no way to ensure that those products are effective or safe for consumers, or legal for sale.
Absolutely! It is not only effective at eliminating snoring, it also protects your teeth against damage from nighttime clenching and grinding.
If you are new to wearing a ZQuiet Mouthpiece, give it some time. It’s a normal response to eject the mouthpiece while sleeping and this will subside with time and use. The ZQuiet Chin Up strips can help stabilize the jaw and keep the mouthpiece in place. If you are a current customer, give our customer service agents a call at 800-281-0543 and they will be glad to send you a free sample.

Customers that are open mouth breathing may find that they get dry mouth. We suggest trying a ZQuiet Chip-UP (which can be used in conjunction with a mouthpiece) to prevent open-mouth breathing and the resulting dry mouth. You might also want to consider ZQuiet Breathe which can open your nasal passages for easier breathing.
We recommend reviewing the instruction manual that came with your ZQuiet Mouthpiece for a number of great tips and suggestions. You might also try using ZQuiet Chin-UP in conjunction with the mouthpiece to help stabilize the lower jaw. To try the ZQuiet Chin-UP or if you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us at 800-281-0543.
Some jaw discomfort is completely normal when using a mouthpiece that repositions the lower jaw. Just like when you get sore muscles from trying a new exercise, your jaw muscles may experience temporary soreness while they adjust. We find that most people adjust to the device within 2 days to 2 weeks and after that short period of time, the discomfort disappears. In the event that you have persistent or prolonged jaw discomfort that lasts for more than 2 hours after removing the device, please discontinue use of ZQuiet, and contact your dentist.
Drooling is a common issue for many customers and usually disappears with continued use. The body’s natural response to having a device in your mouth is to salivate. Most customers find that within a range of 2 days to 2 weeks, the drooling stops and you achieve maximum comfort with your ZQuiet Mouthpiece.
It sounds like your hinge is no longer working and your ZQuiet needs to be replaced. Most customers find that ZQuiet lasts for 2 months to a year depending on a variety of factors. We recommend replacing ZQuiet every 4-6 months just like you would a toothbrush. For repeat customers, we offer a variety of options to make sure you always have a fresh ZQuiet available. Trina: Hi, I'm Trina Webster co-founder of ZQuiet. Some people think that a trial is a gimmick, so let me explain why we offer it and how it works. We've been selling ZQuiet for ten years now, and once we realized how successful it is in treating snoring, we wanted to make it as affordable as possible to try it before committing to the full purchase price. The trial is simple. You pay an upfront trial fee that is non-refundable and we send you a ZQuiet to try for 30 days. If it works for you and you keep it, we charge you the purchase price at the end of the trial period and if you decide ZQuiet isn't right for you, you simply return it and pay nothing more.
Whether you purchase it upfront or choose a 30-Day Trial, we honor every purchase with our 30-Night Better Sleep Guarantee.
Yes! Some customers find that it can be nice to take a night off, especially during the adjustment period. The Chin-UP helps hold your lower jaw in the correct position to relieve snoring. However, it is not a replacement for the ZQuiet Mouthpiece.
ZQuiet Chin-UP is made from hypoallergenic 3M medical grade material and uses latex & gluten free adhesives.
Unfortunately the ZQuiet Chin-UP does not have an option for people with facial hair at the moment. We hope to include this in our product inventory soon. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
With regular use, ZQuiet Breathe will remain effective for about 2 weeks.
Not at all. Most people find that using it facing up like a "W" is more comfortable, but others find that not to be true and prefer it facing down like an "M". The ZQuiet Breathe will still be just as effective whichever way you choose to use it.
Yes. You can fold the wings in slightly to mold the material to fit your nose better.
You should notice the increased airflow immediately.

QuietOn's charge will last for 20 hours of use so you can slumber as long as you want to in silence.
According to the battery manufacturer, the battery will last for thousands of charging cycles. In normal use this would mean several decades. For this reason, the battery is rechargeable and can't be switched.
The QuietOn Sleep's snore cancelling technology is the first of its kind in the world. A lot of research and design went into these earbuds and ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and work! Although the price might seem high, it comes out to less than $1 a day to get the restful, peaceful sleep you deserve. There is less waste generated by these re-usable earbuds than with typical foam earplugs which are not as comfortable or as effective. QuietOn Sleep are the only earbuds designed to block out the specific frequency associated with snoring.
QuietOn Sleep employs active noise cancelling technology which uses a microphone to sample the sound and a speaker to produce an opposing sound wave that acts like a noise eraser.
No, QuietOn Sleep is designed to bring you a better night's sleep. There is no Bluetooth or any kind of radio connection. Music playback is not supported. No connectivity and no radio or Bluetooth means NO radiation.
Yes. QuietOn Sleep is the smallest noise canceling earbud in the world designed to maximize the sleeping comfort. There are different ear tips of different sizes for you to pick the right fit and enjoy the best experience when sleeping.
QuietOn Sleep is super small and soft, which makes it comfortable to wear while sleeping. The active noise cancellation has been optimized for snoring and sounds coming through walls. These sounds can't be blocked by normal passive earplugs. In case you still want to hear surrounding sounds while wearing QuietOn Sleep you can easily switch to hearing mode.
No. No earplug or any other device can make total silence, however, it is still the most effective solution to cancel sounds of snoring and and other noises disturbing your sleep. Active noise cancelling technology uses a microphone to sample the sound, and a speaker to create a phase-shifted sound that cancels the original sound. It's different from using white noise to mask the original noise.
QuietOn Sleep needs to be in the correct position and have a proper seal in the ear for it to work. You'll know they are properly inserted once you reach the 'under water' kind of sound experience.
QuietOn Sleep has passed CE certification which indicates conformity with stringent European health, safety, and environmental protection standards. QuietOn Sleep intentionally doesn't have any radio technology (like Bluetooth) and doesn't emit electromagnetic waves so users can sleep in peace and ensure their health is not at risk.
Plastic (Polyamide, Polycarbonate, ABS), Silicone, Polyurethane Rubber, Stainless Steel and Gold.
